Current Music: It’s Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday (Boyz II Men)
The song never fails to remind me of one of the episodes of Charmed…the one with the demise of Prudence (Shannen Doherty). ‘Cos that was the first time when I started liking the song…yea, just so you know…
Anyways, I was supposed to hang with the Hussy à deux heures et demie…but of course, things don’t always go as planned. Mama’s freak of an assistant decided to balik kampung. So guess who’s gotta come to her rescue…bien sur la Mighty Jobless One. There I was…toiling the day away…juste on my deuxième jour de la liberté. Sigh…oh well!
Revenir de magasin d’alimentation vers 5.00ish. Checked KTM webbie, and realised that there’re only 13 available bunks left for Friday evening! I mean who would’ve thought people travel in friggin’ Janvier?? I called them up to confirm, and the guy on the other line told me there’re 12 left. What…I thought 13?? I refreshed the webpage…true enough, some fatolslat just booked another bunk right under my nose! Sheesh…so I decided to zoom over to Tanjong Pagar for my much-needed Friday evening ticket.
Was at the bus-stop (yes yes…I don’t go cabbing around ALL the time), and Hussy messaged about hanging out while waiting for Poot. So we decided on meeting at the train station. I reached the nostalgic-looking station, looked for an ATM…"Oh well, they must’ve shifted it elsewhere," I thought and went to the ticket counter.
"Tiket untuk Jumaat malam eh…masa ada lagi tak?"
"Ada lagi"
"Ok…boleh pakai NETS?"
"Maaf, tak boleh ah"
"Oh man (under my breath)…Mastercard?"
"Takde"
"S**t (slightly audible)…dulu ada ATM kan kat sini?"
"Dulu ada Maybank…tapi dorang dah tak pakai lagi"
At this point, I felt like ripping my hair off the scalp in bunches! It was close to 8.30pm at Tanjong Pagar Station, with measly 10 bucks in my purse, no ATM in sight. And the nearest was about 10 to 15 minutes away…and I didn’t even understand how to get there. Thank God for the Hussy!! Haha…I was supposed to meet her, remember? So yea…she’s my saviour…love ya, babe! And I’ve got my ticket for 10.15pm train to KL Central on Friday evening! Woohoo!
So since she was supposed to pick Poot up at Lau Pa Sat, we decided on Suntec/Marina. Was at Burger King…had an encounter with yet another fatolslat of a BK server who kept getting the order wrong. Irritating!
Went on rambling about stuff under the sky (since there’s no more sun) over dinner (mine…and hers, a cuppa). She got a call from Jules, and that woman refused to talk to me on the phone since we’ve gotten over and done with the whole mushy goodbyes the other day. What the…hahah! I really hope we can make it for that East M’sian thingie after I’m all settled. That aside, Hussy came up with this thing about scrambling the number 173 (our order number) so that the combinations make sense to us! Here goes:
The Power of 173
1) Remove "7" = 13 (my fave number!)
2) Remove "1" = 73 (the year of her birth!)
3) Add "1" and "7", incl "3" at the back = 83 (the year of my birth!)
4) Add "7" and "3" = 10 (the month of my birthday!)
5) Add "1", "7" and "3" = 11 (the month of her birthday and date of my birthday!)
Hee…good way to pass those few minutes in an amusing way! Oh, did you know that Lisa, Jamie, I and Sim Hui (in chronological order, lol) have birthdates made up of only the numbers "1"s and "0"s??
Lisa and Syila: 11/10
Jamie: 11/01
Sim Hui: 01/10
Well, don’t ask me why…I just love all these thingies where you can link everything up.
And yes, I still keep seeing "540" popping up everywhere…just like how "648" used to appear everywhere. Man…if only there’s an explanation for this one…
