Current Music: Angels (Robbie Williams)
So surreal…bro left for service yesterday morning.
1) I don’t have anyone to annoy at home now.
2) No one is going to shut me up when I’m in one of those happy bunny moods and start singing Mika’s Grace Kelly in the early hours of morning from my bed.
3) No booming laughter that shocks me in the middle of the night when he’s on Skype with his WOW buddies.
4) No one to tell me that my dressing looks "OK" when I ask for opinions as I’m leaving home…which literally means: "Yea, yea, you look fantastic…now get out of my hair!"
5) No one to share my daily cuppa goss and rants after a long day at work
6) No one to agree with me that some people are natural-born losers and ought to be vacuumed by the Galactus (well, I simply added on the last part)
Sigh…oh well, two weeks. Should be seeing him end of the month before I leave.
On a better note, my social life is kinda on a high lately…surprise surprise. I believe it was never like this the past couple of years…wonder if it was really the traviller that weighed me down so much that I didn’t even have the time at all. But it was real nice getting to catch up with the ol’ peeps.
Past week has been rather mental…
Monday: Caught up with Grace after work…tonnes of updates. Très hereux for her now that she’s happier. She very much deserves it…sigh
Tuesday: Met Izah at the Airport…it’s the ol’d chick’s birthday on Sunday. So got her a book titled "How to Walk in High Heels"…the title caught my eyes since I first saw it at Borders and was friggin’ tempted to get it for myself ‘cos I simply love the layout. Great packaging works big time for me! Anyways, I simply HAD to get it for her when I saw the chapter on "Tackling Your Technophobia"…hehe…and of course the "high heels" part *evil laughter*
Wednesday: Went to IKEA Tampines with Miru and Anissa. Darn massive…good thing managed to get the stuff on my to-buy list before they closed à dix heures. So we left the building…saw that Giant, which is across the street, closes at 12.00am and Miru et moi had gleeful smiles on our faces! Left après an hour later after some rather productive buys…
Thursday: Evening with the Silver Surfer avec la Mungen et la Filly. Parce que my bro decided at the last minute it’s more cool to be watching it with his buds…a**! But I’m in good company, so that’s fine. Anyways, we had a rather interesting start with deciding which theatre is worth going…Munge and I ended it off with a round of Perdana till 2.00ish in the morn. Movie rating: 3.5/5
Friday: Send off at Tekong…sucky NS lunch…emo stuff, so I shall spare the details. Hmm, come to think of it, it didn’t exactly hit us till after we parted ‘cos we were too busy making jokes about Papa. Then I went, "Ma, it’s only two friggin’ weeks…you didn’t even shed a tear when I left for Cambodia for THREE WEEKS!" Her reply? "You’re there to have fun…that’s different". Yea sure…building drains and trenches was f… well as a matter of fact, it WAS fun. With all the nutcases around me especially.
So part deux of le jour…met up with the Filly and the Munge. Had to practically drag the Filly’s a** outta her house before she decided to get all lazy…I’m beginning to pick that one up. Had a round of Sushi Tei ‘cos of our fave tempura squid…the usual round of Spinelli (and hot choc from CB ‘cos she’ll cry if she didn’t have it). Guess what…we managed to resist MUJI!! Hee..
Then Uncle "Farid" popped by…some comic relief there. Munge had to meet Kums at Lido, so Filly and I went to Centrepoint to pick Papa’s pants. Dropped by TIMES for a moment of intellect. Last stop for the evening.
Hee…I like looking at my Filofax for this week
